Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach: discovery of the prodigal son
Course leaders : Ophélie Gaillard, Tami Troman
Discovering the specificities of the instruments of the Baroque and Classical string orchestra.
The project :
Introduce Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach to children through the history of the instruments and the string orchestra, of the Baroque and Classical eras, and the artist’s life and work. Counting on a sensorial approach to each instrument in order to teach how music can express moods and states of mind and give rise to feeling. Allow children to try certain instruments or even work on a Baroque score. The works performed will come from Pulcinella’s CPE Bach programme. The type and content of the interventions will be adapted to the ages, context and request of the venue.
